Surgery

The surgical service at the Institute of Veterinary Specialists provides expertise in general and soft tissue surgery. The surgery service is available supports the other services within the Institute when operative intervention is necessary. Special interests include plastic and reconstruction, cardiothoracic, and urologic surgery.

• Isis R. Sánchez, D.V.M., M.S.
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons

Dr. Sánchez is a graduate of the University of Florida College
of Veterinary Medicine and completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of California, Davis. After two years in practice, she completed a three-year surgery residency at Auburn University with a Master’s
degree in surgery. Dr. Sánchez served as Head of Soft Tissue Surgery Service at The Animal Medical Center in New York City from January 1997 to January 2000.
